For my first graphic design example, I chose to make an "internal" document for new instructors. I frequently make best practices one-pagers on topics like gamification, screen recording tutorials, interviews, and assessments when an instructor I work with has not heard of a topic or done something in a formal environment. Because this is an internal document, I kept the design more basic so the focus is on the information. I used Baskerville as the font to maintain consistency with my logo. I considered using Black Mango as the header font but ultimately decided it was too distracting and a little difficult to read, and so I applied it only to the page numbers. I also used the same shades of blue for the heading and subheading. On the second page, I put my smaller logo variation next to the page number as an alternative to a watermark because I generally have difficulty reading documents with watermarks and would rather have it easier to read than harder to steal.
For the images, I chose three (according to the rule of odds) graphics from Canva that all relate to the topic of this particular document. I can easily swap out those images for others more related to the topic of whatever one-pagers I need to make in the future.
