Extreme low angle: A black cat gazes down at the viewer from above. Several paintings are visible behind him, and his dark coloring makes him appear almost as a shadow against them.
Ad: A bag of Dr. Earth Root Zone Start Fertilizer sits surrounded by potted plants against a white fence. The lines of the plant stems and fence direct the eye to the bag, and the greenery right behind the bag blends with the trees beyond the fence.
Photographer's note: If this was my ad campaign, the slogan would be "Bring nature to you."
Geometric perspective/leading lines (golden hour replacement): Two parallel sidewalks line a row of crepe myrtles and green grass in front of white townhouses. The row of trees intersect with the lines made by the side paneling of the townhouses and the two sidewalks, making the street appear longer.
Macro: Tiny drops of condensation glisten on a pink soda can. Part of the logo, the deep blue "La" of La Croix, frames and contrasts the brightness of the water droplets, which create an additional texture against the design of the can.
Perspectives, photo 1: A detail image of a blue-gray flower on white ceramic. The flower is highlighted with gold foil arrows, which all point to the center of the flower.Â
Perspectives, photo 2: In this photo, the whole vase from the detail photo above is visible. The streaks of paint on the jewlery box and the shadows on the wall in the background create geometric shapes that point toward the vase, and the flowers on the vase in turn point to the jewelry box.
Perspectives, photo 3: The same vase pictured in the previous two photos, this time depicted from a low angle. The flowers decorations and crackle of the glaze are more visible in this photo, as is the texture of the green paint on the jewelry box.
Photographer's note: I would consider this the most interesting of the three photos. It is close enough that the details are visible, but not so close that the shape of the vase is erased. If these were pictures of a sale, however, I would use both of the first two before this one, to demonstrate the size and the beauty of the flower appliques.
